LTC: Accesible Small & Rural Communities Conversation
The Fleetwood Area Public Library is inviting community members to join a Community Conversation to help shape the future of library services and improve library accessibility. This event is part of a larger initiative funded by the Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities grant which has provided $20,000 to enhance resources for people with disabilities in rural areas.
With this grant, the library's primary focus will be on supporting the Fleetwood Area School District and the broader community in addressing reading disabilities. The funds will be used to improve accessibility to library programs, services, and resources. Additionally, the library aims to foster stronger community engagement to ensure that people affected by reading disabilities have the support they need to thrive.
During our Community Conversation, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the current barriers to reading, share their experiences, and identify strategies for improving resources and services. This dialogue will help to guide how we spend this funding.
If unable to attend, please consider taking our survey!
