January 8, 2024—Informational Handouts Available
Starting in January, handouts about the upcoming migration will be available for anyone to take. These include a list of important dates, frequently asked questions, and details about the new system.
January 27, 2024—Last Day to Process ILL Requests
Inter-Library Loan (ILL) requests will not be processed between January 28 and February 8 as we prepare data ahead of the migration. ILLs will be processed following February 8.
January 29, 2024—Pause on New Materials
New materials ordered by the library will not be cataloged until after February 8. This means new materials will not be available to check out until mid-February when the new catalog system goes live. Patrons may place holds on new titles releasing in January until the Catalog Freeze February 5-7. Holds will begin processing on February 8.
February 2, 2024—Last Day to Return Materials
There will be a brief pause when checking in library materials. We’re asking all patrons to return their soon-to-be-due materials by the end of day on Friday to provide staff time to check in their items before the data transfer.
*If you are unable to return your items by this deadline, please hold onto your borrowed materials until Monday, February 12. Due dates will be extended and no overdue fines will accrue during this time.
February 5-7, 2024 — Catalog Freeze
You can check out materials during this time by visiting any member library location with your library card. You can only borrow items that are already available in the library during this three-day freeze. You must have your library card with you to borrow materials.
*Library staff will not have access to look up any patron account information during this time period and patrons will not be able to place holds on materials, access their account, or register for a library card.
February 8, 2024 — Catalog Launch Day
Our new system will be up and running at the start of business. Patrons can explore the updated catalog from home and library staff will be able to check in materials, process holds, and complete patron registrations at this time.
Please note that all library users will have their PINs automatically reset on this day.
- Cardholders with a phone number associated with their account will use the last four digits of their primary phone number.
- Example: 610-123-4567 would have a PIN of 4567.
