The library is collecting donations for the families of western North Carolina who were impacted by Hurricane Helene. The donation box is in the library lobby. The donations needed range from non-perishable food items to winter clothing to toys for the holidays. This collection will continue through November 22nd.

3D Mammogram Screenings
One in eight women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime, and most don't have a family history of the disease. A mammogram is the best screening tool for early detection of breast cancer.
We have partnered with Reading Hospital to bring 3D mammogram screenings to the library on Monday, December 2nd, 8 AM- 4 PM. The Mobile Mammography Coach has the same professional staff and state-of-the art technology found at a doctor’s office or imaging center.
If you are due for a screening and would like to schedule an appointment, please call Tower Health at 484-628-8611 to register. Appointments are required. The Mobile Mammography Coach is sponsored by the Reading Hospital Foundation.
