The name of the program says it all! Parents are challenged to read 1000 books to their children between the ages of 0 and 5. Each family receives a log (several options to choose from) to keep track of the books read. Small prizes, such as stickers and coloring pages, are awarded at each 50-book milestone. Progress is tracked inside the library with a fox named for the participating child. The fox will progress along the path concurrently with the child's reading milestones! At 500 books, kids receive a free picture book. At the end of the program, the child receives a shirt with our 1000 Books logo on it. Video Games Club of America Summer Camp sessions run every Monday through Friday. Choose from two time frames, 2-4 PM or 5-7 PM. Free. No registration. *Children under 10 must be accompanied by supervising adult, 18 or older.
